Mailbox

Mailbox. A full mail client — folder rail, message list, reading pane, composer — where every message is a vault object you can search, link, and automate. Connect Gmail, Microsoft 365, or Fastmail (JMAP) for full two-way send and sync, or any IMAP/SMTP account; credentials are sealed shell-side and never touch the app.

Bring any account — Gmail via OAuth or plain IMAP/SMTP — either way the credentials are sealed shell-side and never touch the app.

What it can do

  • Read, compose, reply, and forward; sending is idempotent, so a retry can never double-send.
  • HTML mail renders in a sandboxed frame that blocks remote images by default — tracking pixels don’t fire unless you opt in.
  • Choose a sync window from 30 days to everything, with server-authoritative flags and vault-local tags — and load older mail on demand, page by page, all the way back to your oldest message.
  • Threads, per-message tags, and attachments as real File entities you can search, link, and reuse.
  • An incoming email can trigger an automation, with an AI-triage step that reads the mail and decides what to do.
  • Other apps and the Agent can pre-seed a compose, reply, or forward through intents — the Agent can hand you a ready-to-send draft.
  • Senders resolve to existing Contacts people — linked, never auto-created.
  • A failed account reconnects in place with its stored settings — type the new password and you’re back, keeping all synced mail.
